The fact is, nobody bothers them in highsec cause they can undock

And now you know, that you can make more money in lowsec. The fact that you do not know is that you can monopolize (that means, you shoot the red crosses and do not force others to do it) to make a profit cause not everyone wants to deal with the hassle of lowsec. What you are thinking is that highsec is making more, only because its populated more, is because you are the one shooting the individuals who are trying to make a living in lowsec, while piloting the crappy battleship. You do not in fact make more in lowsec, while someone is hassling the individual...key word is individual, then multiply that individual by everyone in highsec and it looks like highsec makes more.

tl;dr: Exploit monopoly you can make else where, don't bring more individuals. Cause once the crowd starts doing the same thing in the mosh pit, the price will drop as the market is flooded with the same higher meta loot drops and the income of isk means they will be able to afford what ever. If its a fight you want, just pick a direction and start shooting everything, lowsec being unpopulated is because everyone shoots first and kvetches on the forums later with some brilliant idea to fix the problem while they have the mindset the game is Counterstrike, but it requires more effort cause EVE is in fact like trying to play 50 boardgames and card games at the same time while trying to play a FPS.

Summary: Highsec makes more, cause more people live there. Lowsec makes less, cause you chase them away. Null/low/WH all have far superior rewards just by asking the local agent and looking at isk rewards, LP payout, or even scanning to see that in fact the sites that spawn are superior to what is in highsec (WH doesn't have agents, but their rewards are better is what I mean). Its the population that is the problem, so long as one side chases the other out...well it means one side wins than whines when they get bored
